A 60 year-old male Vietnamese veteran suffered from bursitis in the left shoulder for more than two years. Desperate for help, he had tried chiropractic, physical therapy, trigger-point injections, acupuncture and traditional massage with little or no outcomes -- and in many cases, the pain was worse. He described the pain level as 9.5 out of 10 - which is significant for someone who refuses anesthesia during dental procedures. Given the patient's difficult disposition and tough constitution, the therapist decided on an unconventional approach. He asked if the patient had any visible scars on his body. The client indicated he had several scars, one over his left eye, the result of a childhood injuries. The other two scars were also located in the mid-tibalis-anterior region of the shin on both legs, a result of battlefield injuries. The therapist released all three scars with Dolphin Neurostim and then finished the session using acupuncture to target emotions. The client's pain level immediately dropped from a 9.5 to 0. Three years later, the pain had not returned.
A female with pain in the cervical, thoracic and lumbar back areas for over 8 months reported pain was 7 out of 10. The pain started after a motor vehicle accident where she was rear-ended at about 45 miles per hour. She also reported and demonstrated decreased lumbar flexion and cervical rotation. She was a self-prescribed "mess." This patient had been receiving both physical therapy and massage, while consuming prescribed muscle relaxers at home. The simple MPS standard protocol was applied to her low back. This treatment started from paraspinal muscles surrounding L2 and ended at S2. Motor/trigger points in the hips were also released and combined with traditional acupuncture points to further relax muscles and tissue. This entire treatment tool 10-15 minutes, but it "changed her life!."

MPS course material was clear and easy to understand.
The Treatments received were beneficial.
I thought the course was fabulous!! Dan was a great instructor!
Kelly Armstrong was an excellent instructor. Her vocal tone and demeanor was very conductive to learning and gaining attention from the listener. Most of the information was easy to follow. Information that was hard to follow was mainly due to it's depth and my infamiliarity with the subject matter coupled with me being a bit rusty with my anatomy and physiology. Not having been very active in the massage field over the past 5 or six years has contributed to that. I really thought the information provided was interesting and actually quite amazing. I saw it work in front of my eyes and on myself. Whereas I don't feel quite comfortable at this point administering the specific treatments taught I do feel the dolphin tools could easily be integrated into a massage treatment and compliment it with positive results for the patient. Aspects of the MPS treatments being taught could be used until further education and retention is obtained. When I am able to afford the Dolphin Devices I intend to use them in my practice.
There is sufficient practice time to gain the appropriate mechanics of the techniques.
